HOWTO Use Crossloop

Crossloop is one of the many ways that a technician can remotely access your computer. This software is easily downloadable, free, and quick.

Obtaining Crossloop

Crossloop is easiest obtained from www.crossloop.com. Now look on the lower left hand corner for the following link and click on it.

When the security warning comes on click Run.

Now wait for the download to complete. Then click Run again.

Installation

The first screen you see will prompt you for a choose of language. You may leave English selected and then press OK.

After you are completed reading the agreement and have chosen your selection value (either accept or no) click Next.

At this next screen you can choose whether or not you wish to also create a Desktop or a Quicklaunch icon for this application. You can safely leave both unchecked and hit Next.

Now just click Install.

To run this application immediately, make sure Launch CrossLooop is checked and then click Finish.

Sharing your desktop

When CrossLoop first comes up click on Share.

When the technician is ready for it, give him the access code in the Access Code text box that you see on your screen.

Now when the technician tells you, click on the connect button.

If there are any prompts, allow the technician access. If a firewall prompt comes up select the option to Unblock this program.
